Just like us, Dawn and Tom suffered financial devastation in the 2008 crash and knowing it was probably too late to accumulate that "magic number" in their bank account in order to retire (being at that time 50 and 60 respectively), they threw caution to the wind during a sailing trip from California to Florida and moved overseas to find a simpler, happier and richer life.



And then that entrepreneurial spirit kicked in after she began sharing her story. People began asking Dawn how they could create their dream life in paradise.

Personally we were motivated to get cracking with making plans for our own paradise retirement but it definitely looks like we'll have to make a stop off at Isla Mujeres and as Dawn puts it "beta test" where you might like to live
