Through this exclusive audio documentary series, we will be shining a light on the stories and struggles of refugee children who in one way or another, ended up here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. What does the future hold for these young refugees in a country that doesn't recognize the rights of refugees? From Renegade Radio in collaboration with Malaysiakini, this is Lone Passage.

Episode 1 - The Journey, Pt. 2

In Part 2 of The Journey, we meet James and Sharifah, two refugees from Myanmar who arrived in Malaysia alone when they were minors. James is a Chin refugee who came to Malaysia when he was 15, and Sharifah is a Rohingya refugee who was brought to Malaysia by a smuggler when she was just 5 years old. Both came to Malaysia to escape persecution and violence in Myanmar, and to reunite with their long-lost families. The paths that brought them to Malaysia were unconventional and dangerous.
