In this two-part episode, we explore the living and livelihood options for refugees in Malaysia. In Part 1, we look at shelter and living options for Unaccompanied Minor Refugees, including community fostering and reunification. We examine refugee and migrant living spaces in Malaysia and go back in history to explore Malaysia's role in the Vietnamese Boat Refugee crisis. We also touch on the COVID-19 pandemic and Malaysia's Movement Control Order (MCO) and how these affected the migrant and refugee community.
