Saurora and Jonny have been together for one year after meeting on Hinge. The pair said they clicked instantly, on a physical, spiritual, and emotional level. However, their love has faced judgment. Jonny explained why, "We are in an open relationship. Our relationship was open from the start. We walked into it knowing that's what we wanted. We tried mononormative situations before. They just didn't work for us; it didn't last." Saurora is also a working girl who has disabled clients. "I've definitely been shocked at how spicy disabled people are", she said. Since the relationship began, Jonny has also been able to free himself from previous gender labels and come out as pansexual. All of these elements together have culminated in the couple being viewed as controversial. He said, "When Saurora and I got together and we were talking to our friends and family members, it caused a lot of friction. Insults were flying around." They've also encountered hate online, with comments such as "You look sad behind your eyes" and "Where's your self-respect?"
