For a little over 2 years, I've been on this quest to try to understand real love and deeply meaningful relationships.

I have literally talked to tens of thousands of people from all over the world. I have many international friends who are from and live in America, Brazil, Korea, Japan, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Hong Kong and Australia, and inevitably our conversations have ALWAYS turned to love and relationships.

Everyday people, extraordinary friends with extraordinary loves.

How to REALLY Make a Relationship Work - Part Two

This conversation got so intense that we didn't want it to end so we continued!

----

My first guest in this limited edition series is my longtime friend Fred.

Fred and I go way back to my college days. And he's an incredible friend.

I used to be terrible at keeping in touch with people but Fred would always hunt me down and ask me those probing questions that only a good friend can. "Not just how are you doing" but "how are you really doing?"

I'm grateful for friends like him who don't just settle for nondescript answers.

Fred has been married now for what feels to me like an eternity 😂

He is one of the few men I know that believe in taking personal accountability, personal growth, lowering our egos to let love in, chivalry and romance and I believe he has the secret sauce to really making a relationship work over a lifetime.

I watched him meet his lovely wife Kim and I've always said she is one of the luckiest women in the world. He, she and they continue to grow each and every day despite life's inevitable challenges and I am grateful that I get to bear witness. They have two beautiful children and Kim is now an author as well.

I often go to Fred for counseling, a listening ear and some practical sound advice. And he's never afraid to give it to me straight... Along with a bit of tough love every now and then when I need it.

I'm excited for him to share his wisdom and his insight with the world.
