Shadow work is sometimes misunderstood; the other term for it is healing. That's right, shadow work is, in fact, healing. Did you think healing would be easy? In this episode, I dive into the difficult reality of doing shadow work. Because facing our past can be ugly and hard and difficult. Healing often involves lots of emotional work, crying, releasing, unlearning, and reprogramming our perception about past events that shape our current mindsets. It's about loving, accepting and giving up victim narratives about ourselves. It’s about owning our own shit, living in the present (not past or future), and forgiving ourselves and those that “hurt” us. I also talk about the ineffective spiritual practice of “overcoming,” which is actually a form of spiritual bypassing.
