Director of the Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority (MTPA) since June 2018, Arvind Bundhun has been actively engaged in promoting Mauritius as a tourist destination in all key markets worldwide. An active believer in partnership working, his focus is to improve the visibility of the destination’s brand through extensive marketing and promotional campaigns. Holder of a Masters’ Degree in Hotel Management and having an international exposure, Arvind Bundhun has held various management positions in the industry. Arvind believes that Mauritius is a melting cauldron of cultures, traditions, gastronomy, and this rich heritage helps to demarcate the island country from other competitors. In this episode Joanne and Arvind are discussing the reopening of the island to international tourists, the current situation on the island nation and marketing the destination to the Asian markets.
