من إحساس إن في حاجات بتسحف على جلدي، لرغبة غريبة إني أهرش وداني، ومع نسيان غريب مكنش بيحصلي قبل كده... كنت فاكرة نفسي هتجنن السنة اللي فاتت 😅  بس انبسطت إن جاتلي الفرصة اني أقعد  مع جلنار عصمت في #النص_التاني من #محدش_قاللي … جلنار هي أول حد ينشر الوعي بالعربي  في الشرق الأوسط عن مرحلة انقطاع الطمث!  كلام مفيد جدا للرجاله قبل الستات …مهم نفهم داخلين على ايه وده بيأثر علينا وعلى علاقاتنا ازاي!  جلنار كمان كتبت كتاب اسمه بس ماتقولش يأس عن تجارب السيدات المختلفه. 

 رجاء شخصي:  ياريت لو حد يقترح اسم جديد للمرحله دي غير #سن_اليأس أو #انقطاع_الطمث. هاطالب بده لحد ما حد يتبرع بفكرة و نعتمدها كلنا كا إسم جديد 😄 

From the crazy feeling of ants crawling on my skin to a weird urge to scratch my ears, to a new level of forgetfulness, last year I thought I was losing my mind. And my body forced me to pause and  tune in. I didn’t get the classic signs of peri menopause. No hot flashes. No irregular periods. But wait, why am I gaining so much weight, why do my joints hurt, and where is all my hair going? Thanks to all the awareness on what some see as a trend, I now know things start as early as in our 40s. Knowing it’s all part of the phase and that we will resurface from it soon, has been quite assuring. I was fortunate to learn so much from Gulnar Esmat. the creator of the first Arabic menopause awareness in the Middle East. This chat is eye opening as we should have a clue what to expect in the years leading to perimenopause or menopause. A very helpful conversation to both men & women alike as we learn all about our body changes and how this affects our moods and relationships. 

All that aside, if you can come up with a better Arabic name for this phase, I would personally see to it that it gets adopted to replace the current ones (ok that is a bit of an over promise but I will surely try).
