WHAT WAS THE VERSE OF PROMISE THAT ADAM AND EVE HUNG ON BY FAITH TO KNOW THAT THEY WERE SAVED?

2PETER 1: [4] Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

[5] And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

IN THE LEAD UP TO THESE 7 THINGS HE SPEAKS TO THEM ABOUT THE EXCEEDING GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES AVAILABLE TO THEM.

BUT FORMER MR. MORALITY SAYS THIS:

ROM. 4: [13] For the promise,

that ABRAHAM should be the heir of the world,

was not to Abraham, or to his seed,

through the law,

but through the righteousness of faith.

[14] For if they which are of the law be heirs,

FAITH is made VOID , and the PROMISE made OF NONE EFFECT.
