Wayne has enjoyed a substantial career as a goalie playing in the NHL from 1988 to 1995. More specifically he was signed with the Calgary Flames and was part of the Stanley Cup winning team in 1989. In addition Mr. Cowley played for the Edmonton Oilers and Team Canada. Following his NHL career, Wayne took his passion for hockey to Europe from 1995 to 2001 where he played in countries that included England, Scotland, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic and Poland.
