Actually yes, it is.

you are robbing yourself of doing other things. And maybe of doing fun things.
If you are doing that, that would be a waste.
Why? Life is short and it's a waste of time you don't use because you are stuck in worries of things you can't change quickly.
When you have serious problems, it can be very difficult to focus elsewhere.
But try it. No, do it.
Look for someone to give attention to. Or maybe even help.
Giving attention or helping someone else works like a medicine.
By thinking of someone else or helping someone else, your worries are not gone, but you worry less about your own problems.
