The program, which offers hands-on experience and career skill development, was praised by Barry P. Gossett Director of Athletics Jim Smith for empowering students to think bigger and communicate with confidence. Softball player Sammi Woods, recipient of this years Peer Impact Award, shared how the program helped her explore her strengths, build professional skills, and gain clarity on her career path. Womens track and field athlete Nyla Cherry also credited the program with significantly impacting her career trajectory. The programs impact was highlighted by Adaeze Alaeze-Garbo, Maryland Mades Director of Student-Athlete Development, who emphasized its role in preparing the next generation for career readiness and success beyond athletics.
