Attachment is not about holding on to people or things it is about the invisible bonds that shape how we move through life. Matias explains that most teachings use analogies, because no single explanation contains “the truth.” Numbers like zero and one are tools to help us see the universe as a set of codes, not just facts. Attachment appears when we depend on someone or something to feel stable, and detachment appears when we grow beyond what limits us. They are not opposites; they are partners. Attachment anchors us in survival, but detachment helps us expand and transform. One of the strongest forms of attachment is expectation the belief that life should go exactly our way. When reality changes, people suffer, not because of the change, but because of their attachment to how things “should” be. The real work is learning which bonds nourish you and which ones keep you from growing, just like a tree that must let go of its seeds so they can become something more.
