Ep 1: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus

In this episode, Alya, a 2nd year medical student brings us through an overview of Type 2 Diabetes. Type 2 Diabetes is a common condition that occurs when the body cannot regulate and utilise glucose as fuel. Unlike Type 1 Diabetes where the body is unable to produce insulin, in Type 2 Diabetes, the body does produce insulin. However, there’s a defect in how the insulin is being secreted and the action of the insulin itself.

Tune in to this episode to learn more and head on over to our instagram page @ummbbs_quiz for the answers to our quiz questions.
