Tyson Schwab is joined by psychiatrist Daisha Orchard, MD, to discuss her experience and the state of rural care in Idaho. She talks candidly about the obstacles faced by patients to receive care in her hometown and the surrounding rural areas. She has shared that her education and placement in "I fell in love with psychiatry my third year of medical school at the University of Utah. I saw as a medical student what a caring and well-rounded training program they had to offer. When I found out about the Rural Idaho Track, I couldn’t imagine a more perfect fit. This new program allowed me to train with amazing psychiatrists and facilities at a university program and train in a rural setting an hour and a half away from my hometown. I’m so excited to be part of a program bringing psychiatric care to Utah and Idaho."
