Making light installations – with Bruce Munro

Bruce Munro is best known for his immersive large-scale light-based installations inspired largely by his interest in shared human experience. His entrepreneurial spirit, love of art and curiosity about simple experiences of connection as a basis of art is a common theme throughout his long career.

He has a team of people working with him from his studio in Wiltshire, creating beautiful installations that are exhibited nationally and internationally. He has created work for prestigious clients like the Snowball Chandelier for Babington House and the Sputnik Pendant which was bought by Liberty’s. Since then he has created a window display of 10,000 illuminated stems for Harvey Nichols, exhibited at the V&A, produced bespoke commissions for Alexander McQueen and has a permanent exhibition of his Field of Light installation (50,000 solar-powered stems) at Ayers Rock in Australia.
