Mental Fitness Unscripted S2E19 Understanding Procrastination

We all know procrastination is bad, hindering our growth, productivity, and mental fitness.So why do we struggle with procrastination? We know what needs to be done, but we find all the excuses to avoid and delay it. Am I right?

Procrastination is stressful. While the thing we are putting off may seem stressful, it's also stressful to put it off. We end up stressing over not wanting to be stressed by the thing we are putting off.

That's mental gymnastics, and it gets us nowhere.

There are consequences to procrastination. Small issues not addressed will become large issues. We are mistaken to believe that we have all the time in the world, but we don't. Time doesn't wait, and we can't control it. And we don't know how much time we have. So what are we waiting for?

Let's think about our thinking. Ask ourselves, "Why?" Be intentional with our time, energy, and resources. Be encouraged that you can choose against procrastination and reap the benefits of living on purpose.
