Welcome to episode 35 of Midnight Movie Mania, as we look at MTV's first movie, Joe's Apartment.

A down-on-his-luck nice guy who moves from Iowa to NY where he meets a rich environmentalist that wants to start her own community garden in the East Village of NY. Unfortunately her rich Senator Dad wants the land for a prison.

Not to worry Joe is the last tenant in a rent control tenement on the very land his gf and her dad wants.

Oh did I mention the apartment is the home of talking, singing and dancing cockroaches? Well yeah it's a wild one.
