Mindful Christian Meditation

Mindful Christian Meditation is a collection of guided meditations that combined mindfulness techniques with Lectio Divina, or "Divine Reading". Lectio Divina is an ancient scriptural reading practice dating back to the 6th century that involves meditative listening to the formulaic reading of a passage of Scripture. Those who listen are encouraged to set aside analysis, and what they “know” already about the passage, seeking instead to open themselves to God’s word, listen with their hearts, and receive it expectantly and passively. God's word read aloud is literally God speaking.

15 Minute Guided Meditation For Strength In The Face Of Fear | Psalm 23:4-6

Mindful Christian Meditation is a collection of guided meditations that combine mindfulness techniques with Lectio Divina, or "Divine Reading". Mindful Christian Meditation aims to use common mindfulness techniques to bring one to a meditative state of mind that is void of the everyday concerns of life and the 24/7 inner monolog of our minds only to then fill it with God's precious word. These sessions are NOT meant to replace personal devotion time spent in prayer and in the scriptures, only to accompany it.

God's peace to you and your family!

The reading for this meditation is Psalm 23:4-6 (ESV):

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
