From Bedtime Battles to Bedtime Bliss: Mindfulness tips to ease bedtime struggles
In this episode I talk about how to utilize mindfulness practices with your child to help them transition more easily to bedtime. I will focus on three goals of the bedtime routine. The first is making connections with your child. Many children struggle at bedtime because it means separating from you. So I will give tips on how to emphasize your connection prior to bedtime. We will also talk about using movement to calm and prepare their bodies and help your child release any extra energy they may have before bed. Finally we will talk about helping to quiet your child's mind to get them ready to sleep. Bonus: there is a full 10 minute guided meditation for your child to use at bedtime!
