Welcome to the MMA Origin Stories Podcast. Each Episode we have a new guest who shares their journey through the ever changing landscape of MMA, from the early days in sports halls to the modern day stadiums and everything in between. Hosted by Michael Williams, an international MMA and combat sports official. Michael trained in Boxing and Karate in his youth but started his journey in MMA around the turn of the millennium, before moving into officiating in 2011 after realising competing in MMA wasn’t going to be a reality due to injuries and other commitments outside of the sport.

David takes us through his early life in Judo and moving on to Karate before finding his love for music but then eventually being drawn back in to Martial Arts, we then hear about his life and times in the sport we know and love plus he gives us a glimpse into his plans for the future.
