Not only am I a modern hermit but I am also an antinatalist. Having children reduces your freedom. Having children is also extremely expensive. Having a children will make you poorer than if you have no children. The reasons for not having children are not just selfish. There are many altruistic reasons why you should not have children e.g. the world is overpopulated, procreation is extremely damaging to the environment, and procreation increases suffering. Procreation also hurts women. Nothing holds women back more than motherhood.
