In this episode we discuss eight sexist tropes we’ve found in children’s books, from the traditional damsel in distress to more nuanced and subtle sexism of the perfect girl protagonist who saves everyone’s feelings or the boy character who we just know will grow up to be a mansplainer. We talk about some of the ways we try to counter this sexism and share a few of our favorite books and resources.
