
Do you know what bell meditation is?
When we meditate, it is easy for our mind to run away with us. Some types of meditation suggest that we allow thoughts and emotions to arise, observe them, and then let them go. Others suggest that we keep bringing our minds back to the present, by focusing on our breath or otherwise.
When we use bells in meditation, the sound of the bell functions as a reminder, to help us center ourselves during our meditation practice. And of course, the sound of a meditation bell has a calming, peaceful effect.
