Jack Daniels from The Shining (1980)

*Jack Torrance voice* Here's MOVIE MIXOLOGY!!!🪓 This week, join Pat and Marissa as they drink Jack Daniels and discuss the 1980 horror-classic, "The Shining." Together, the hosts toast to Kubrick's cinematic vision, Nicholson's wild tongue, and Danny's iconic sweaters. Redrum, anyone?

JACK: [glancing around at the completely deserted bar then seemingly to no one] "A little slow tonight isn't it?"

JACK laughs manically. Suddenly, where there was once an empty bar, stands Lloyd, the bartender.

LLOYD: "Yes, it is Mr. Torrance. What'll it be?"

JACK: "Well I'm awfully glad you asked me that, Lloyd, because I just happen to have two twenties and two tens right here in my wallet.  I was afraid they were going to be there until next April. So here's what: you slip me a bottle of bourbon*, a little glass, and some ice. You can do that, can't you Lloyd? You're not too busy are you?"

LLOYD: "No sir, not busy at all."

*Yes, we are aware that Jack Daniels is self-classified as a Tennessee Whiskey, distinct from "bourbon," but the scene clearly shows a Jack Daniels bottle. Here's a great video from Whiskey Tribe that essentially reflects our views as well (starts around twelve minute mark) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCBnLTwrpAs
