Qatar had recently sent an envoy to Mogadishu in order to intervene in the political tensions of the country. Some say, this is Qatar's way of saving face after they were heavily criticised for supporting With heavy finance over the past four years the now expired President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo's term. Many politicians say they do not "trust Qatar because it supports the demolition of democracy in Somalia and support the illegal term extension of President Farmaajo."
