Community Safety & American Indian Day
Episode #39 of the Nevada Magazine radio show features respective interviews with Chelsie Hill, star of Sundance Channel's "Push Girls," and Arlan D. Melendez, Reno-Sparks Indian Colony chairman. In the show's first half-hour, Nevada Magazine Circulation Manager Carrie Roussel interviews Hill about the unfortunate accident that left her paralyzed in high school. She was in Reno for the CIG Insurance Community Safety event, September 28, talking about the dangers of drunk and distracted driving. Chelsie is joined by her father, Jon Hill, co-founder of the Hills' Walk and Roll Foundation. Also in studio is Brad Dennis from the KlaasKids Foundation. In the show's second half-hour, Melendez discusses American Indian Day, which was held September 27. He also elaborates on Reno-Sparks Indian Colony's National Indian Week, along with Stacey Montooth. Listen to the show below. Subscribe to the Nevada Magazine Radio Show on iTunes.
