Nevada Spirits
Episode #46 of the Nevada Magazine radio show features respective interviews with Colby Frey of Churchill Vineyards and George Racz of Las Vegas Distillery. Churchill Vineyards is located on the historic Frey Ranch in Churchill County, near Fallon. It's currently the only Nevada winery producing Nevada-grown, produced, and bottled (estate) white wines. Churchill Vineyards is also producing Brandy, Grappa, Vodka, and several other distilled spirits made from vinifera grape and grain crops grown in Northern Nevada. Located in Henderson, Las Vegas Distillery's first legal commercial distillation was on April 1, 2011. Its first locally made and sold spirit was Nevada Vodka, distilled from Winnemucca Farms-grown wheat. Read more about the business here. Listen to the show below.
