S01E03 | The Yankees are Raking...The Giants are Tanking
Hello everybody, and welcome back to the third episode of "New York Sport of Mind"! Some HUGE things have happened in the world of NY sports in the last week, so let's get to it. As the title of the episode shows, the bad news of the week is the so far abysmal season for the Giants continues as they fall to 0-3 with a buzzer-beater field goal by the Falcons. A season that was, and still sort of is still, full of hope, is starting to slip away, and it's only Week 3. But don't take our word for it., Giants all-time leading rusher Tiki Barber was in the guys hometown of Binghamton, NY this week, where he also had some choice words for his former franchise. The good news that has come out of this last week, the YANKEES ARE RAKING! After sweeping the Rangers last week in a 3-game series, the Bombers crushed their divisional rival in Boston over the weekend with another series sweep, and becoming the sole leader for the top Wild Card spot... but how long will it last. The boys take a deep dive into what worked against the Red Sox, including the magical workings of the Yanks new mascot "Bronxie".
