Loki on Disney Plus opens to a fantastic episode. Danny and Caleb return to talk about this new show from the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Loki is arrested by the Time Variants Authority who strives to ensue the timeline is kept straight according to the Time Keepers’ will. But who is messing up the timeline? What will happen to our favorite little mischeviou scamp? Is this show any good? 

Also we talk about the idea of fate in the hands of a sovereign God who rules over all creation and over all time. Everything submits to His will and nothing is beyond His control. Furthermore, while we all try and escape death, death will eventually find us all and we will all die one day. For the Christian, though, this death is not fatal as we will rise with Christ if we die with Him. Our resurrection comes in our dying to the self for the sake of the Gospel.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. (Ephesians 1:3-4, ESV)

But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:20-23, ESV)
