
Show Up, Be Present and Stay Present in the moments of your day - which in turn make up the moments of your life - with this grounding meditation that helps lock you into space and time. What does that mean? It means being wholly present in your body right here, right now. This technique is a blend of the mindfulness meditations I am known for combined with my version of my teacher's, Mas Sajady, technique of spatial awareness. Spatial Awareness and Mindfulness meditations may help to combat anxiety, daily stress and may help create new neural pathways which equals being able to make different choices and potentially change behaviors. In laymens' terms - you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. I've witnessed this myself with my clients over the decade plus I have been teaching. It all starts now with this moment.
Anyone can meditate. Find a place where you can sit or lie down comfortably for the next 15 minutes and allow my soothing voice to guide you. Before you know it you will hear the sound of the bowl bringing you back feeling rejuvenated and ready for whatever is next. If your mind wanders off while meditation, it is perfectly normal (especially if you are new!) Simply connect back to your breath or allow my voice or the singing bowl to bring you back to the practice. Think of this as brain training. Just like you go to the gym to work your muscles, let this guided relaxation technique be your brain's power boost. If the garbage of your daily life is piling up then it's time to take out the garbage.
