Midday News: Supreme Court Weighs SNAP Aid, FAA Expands Flight Cuts, and a Bronx Fish Market Turns Into a Party
The Supreme Court is expected to decide today whether the Trump administration must comply with lower court orders to resume full SNAP payments as delayed food aid begins reaching residents across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Meanwhile, the FAA is expanding flight reductions to six percent nationwide amid a shortage of air traffic controllers caused by the ongoing government shutdown. Also, in New York City, Fifth Avenue is closing this afternoon for the Veterans Day Parade marking 250 years of the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps.
