The Athletics baseball team is on track to open their new Las Vegas stadium on schedule, with construction progressing as planned. The team, set to move before the 2028 season, successfully met their year-end construction goals, including starting the concrete phase and installing major structural elements. The As Ballpark Experience Center has also opened, offering fans a glimpse into the future stadium. The projects cost has increased to around two billion dollars, but As vice chairman Sandy Dean is confident that further escalations wont occur. Nevada and Clark County have approved public funds for the ballpark, with the As covering the rest. The teams president, Marc Badain, and contractor Mortenson-McCarthy are overseeing the project, with the As actively involved in the Las Vegas community. The team is currently playing in West Sacramento, California, and focusing on building a competitive roster for their arrival in Las Vegas.
