Since 2011, he used to teach people the English language, but he put a halt to it and decided to venture out on new things. That's what pushed him to create "Lingala Kitoko"
Lingala is an african language spoken mainly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the Republic of the Congo (Congo-brazza), the Central African Republic and as well as some part of the Republic of Angola.

Jk29 (Born Dieu-Merci Joseph Kambala Tshibatamba) in Kinshasa, in the DR Congo. He is better known worldwide by his stage name "Jk29" or simply "Jk"
He is the third child of four children. Jk29 grew up in a Christian household where his father became a pastor at the Soul winners community in Bandalungwa in Kinshasa. His father was Tshibatamba Bantupela (a former ship captain of ONATRA, deceased in December 17th, 2022) and of Mufuta Brigitte Hélène (a businesswoman)
Jk29's younger brother is a multitalents artist who goes by the name of Ej.
He, Jk29, in 2011, started as a drummer, percussionist, and translator at their church in Pretoria, South Africa.
In mid-2017, Ej and him had founded their own Record Label:
Kids from Downtown Kintambo Ent. Also written as " Kids from Downtown Kintambo Prod. "
Now, the following year, he released his first EP, which consists of 7 tracks entitled "Satisfied Life" with a leading single "Matondo"
Kids from Downtown Kintambo Prod has signed many artists, such as: Dmj Cash, Hosannel Juvi, Dicky Bro, Lydie K Banza, Patrick Lukusa, Jency Boy Mikishi, etc...
Jk29 can speak 4 languages fluently, namely: English, Lingala, French, and German. And can understand Japanese, Italian, swahili & Spanish
On December 15th, 2023, he created his first podcast ever, "Lingala Kitoko, "written as : Officialjk29's podcast (Lingala Kitoko)
