We’re continuing our Christmas series on InstaJoy! The name for this series comes from one of our favorite Kitchen tools - the instant pot! Each week we’re unpacking a different ingredient to help prepare our hearts to receive the InstaJoy that God has for us.

Preparing is an important part in cooking in your instant pot, and it’s important in experiencing joy. We can’t just show up, throw our ingredients in the instant pot and expect it to come out perfectly each time. We need to read the recipe, prepare the ingredients and then cook in the proper order. Joy is the same. If we don’t spend time preparing our hearts to receive joy, we might just miss it.
