Serving Central Texas area for 22 years, Highland Lakes Canine Rescue takes medically critical dogs out of shelters and save them from euthanasia. They treat animals in critical condition and help them in their recovery process.

Critical conditions include severe injuries and diseases such as heartworms and mange. They give these dogs a second chance at life and help them find families who can provide a suitable home for them. Their facility has all the resources for the dogs’ comfort and healing, such as a wide backyard and air conditioned indoor spaces.

When it comes to looking for families, Highland Lakes Canine Rescue conducts an intensive process in making sure that the adoption is the right fit. They also have partnerships with other animal organizations to collaborate on projects that help animals in their communities.
