From addiction to expansion... Richard Atherton is an executive coach in the structure he founded FirstHuman. He also hosts "Being Human"—a podcast I admire with over 300 episodes 😮 But what struck me the most was not his brilliant and eclectic career (from management consultant to cabaret owner and system coder... you won't believe what Richard did in his life). It was what he shared in this episode. Without filters. Without hiding. Check a few golden nuggets: 🍷 Richard started drinking at 14. 🎓 He had a brilliant academic track. 👎 He got fired from his first job for being too shy. 🤩 He lived a full, rich life… while struggling with alcohol and other addictions For years, the hangover was the only thing that helped him slow down. His mind was too fast. Too busy. Alcohol numbed the noise. Later came more layers: ➡️ Alcoholics Anonymous ➡️ S#x and Love Addicts Anonymous ➡️ Co-Dependents Anonymous ➡️ Landmark Education ➡️ John Bradshaw’s book Homecoming ➡️ Deep childhood therapy ➡️ Primal scream work An SO. MUCH. MORE. Richard went deep. And through that depth, he came back. Clearer. Softer. Freer. He now helps leaders turn away from the illusion of “When I’ll finally get X, I’ll be happy.” Because joy and connection are not at the end of the path. They’re here. Available. When we stop running. It’s one of the most open conversations I’ve ever had on this podcast. Check the full episode HERE: https://lnkd.in/dYejCFSE ENJOY TO THE MAX 🤩🤩🤩!!!

#29 Alan Howard - Face your fears and find love
He lost 7 kilos. Not through a diet. In the Amazon jungle, after 6 weeks living with a local tribe. Meet Alan Howard (IG and Tiktok @ahowy), a coach out of this world. Not a survival coach. A freedom coach. Passionate about working with men to help them reconnect with their masculinity. We are far from the Alpha Male macho conversation. What Alan shares is fascinating and based on his very own experience. Believe me, you will be speechless when you hear how brave, determined and blunt Alan is. Humble and fun too. Alan is one of 6 siblings. He was going from paycheck to paycheck, living in his sister's basement. Until he woke up one day and transformed himself and his life. Mostly by facing his fears one by one. I learned so much during our conversation. Here are some snippets of what Alan shared with me: 🦸‍♂️ Trauma creates super powers 👬 If you challenge yourself, do it with a friend 👸 To become more masculine, you need to connect to your feminine 😨 Do something that scares you every day (he really does it!) ❤️ Express how you FEEL instead of blaming: it produces great results 💬 You can LEARN how to speak to women and find joy (sometimes even love) in the conversation ❌ No one is coming to save you. Take responsibility for your life And MUCH MUCH MORE!!!! Alan is the founder of https://the-path.com/. Go check it out. ENJOY TO THE MAX 🤩🤩🤩!!!
