From addiction to expansion... Richard Atherton is an executive coach in the structure he founded FirstHuman. He also hosts "Being Human"—a podcast I admire with over 300 episodes 😮 But what struck me the most was not his brilliant and eclectic career (from management consultant to cabaret owner and system coder... you won't believe what Richard did in his life). It was what he shared in this episode. Without filters. Without hiding. Check a few golden nuggets: 🍷 Richard started drinking at 14. 🎓 He had a brilliant academic track. 👎 He got fired from his first job for being too shy. 🤩 He lived a full, rich life… while struggling with alcohol and other addictions For years, the hangover was the only thing that helped him slow down. His mind was too fast. Too busy. Alcohol numbed the noise. Later came more layers: ➡️ Alcoholics Anonymous ➡️ S#x and Love Addicts Anonymous ➡️ Co-Dependents Anonymous ➡️ Landmark Education ➡️ John Bradshaw’s book Homecoming ➡️ Deep childhood therapy ➡️ Primal scream work An SO. MUCH. MORE. Richard went deep. And through that depth, he came back. Clearer. Softer. Freer. He now helps leaders turn away from the illusion of “When I’ll finally get X, I’ll be happy.” Because joy and connection are not at the end of the path. They’re here. Available. When we stop running. It’s one of the most open conversations I’ve ever had on this podcast. Check the full episode HERE: https://lnkd.in/dYejCFSE ENJOY TO THE MAX 🤩🤩🤩!!!

#41 Josefine Campbell - Give up on one purpose in life: you can have many
Managing my energy... Here is a difficult topic for me. How to understand my energy? How to sync it with others? Which signals should I pay attention to? What can I do to bring a high level of energy? These are few of the many questions we cover in the next Episode of the podcast with the great Josefine Campbell, executive coach and Author of the book Power Barometer https://josefinecampbell.com/book-power-barometer/. During 2 hours, I had a fabulous conversation about Josefine and her upbringing, the importance of martial arts in her life, the multiple jobs she had, until she became the executive coach and author she is now. Here are a few gems we talked about: 🥋 She is a quadruple champion of Japanese Jiu Jitsu in Denmark ☝️ Rather than Personal 🆚 Professional, try Private 🆚 Professional because everything is personal 🗓️ It takes 7 years for ALL our cels to have changed in our body 😳 👾 She sees the mind of people like a suite of algorithms or mini programs and it helps her a lot to coach better ⚡️ You can check your energy level before starting a meeting (it's all in the book!) 🎯 We can have multiple purposes - one purpose alone does not reflect our richness and complexity And MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE !!! ENJOY TO THE MAX 🤩🤩🤩 !!!
