From addiction to expansion... Richard Atherton is an executive coach in the structure he founded FirstHuman. He also hosts "Being Human"โ€”a podcast I admire with over 300 episodes ๐Ÿ˜ฎ But what struck me the most was not his brilliant and eclectic career (from management consultant to cabaret owner and system coder... you won't believe what Richard did in his life). It was what he shared in this episode. Without filters. Without hiding. Check a few golden nuggets: ๐Ÿท Richard started drinking at 14. ๐ŸŽ“ He had a brilliant academic track. ๐Ÿ‘Ž He got fired from his first job for being too shy. ๐Ÿคฉ He lived a full, rich lifeโ€ฆ while struggling with alcohol and other addictions For years, the hangover was the only thing that helped him slow down. His mind was too fast. Too busy. Alcohol numbed the noise. Later came more layers: โžก๏ธ Alcoholics Anonymous โžก๏ธ S#x and Love Addicts Anonymous โžก๏ธ Co-Dependents Anonymous โžก๏ธ Landmark Education โžก๏ธ John Bradshawโ€™s book Homecoming โžก๏ธ Deep childhood therapy โžก๏ธ Primal scream work An SO. MUCH. MORE. Richard went deep. And through that depth, he came back. Clearer. Softer. Freer. He now helps leaders turn away from the illusion of โ€œWhen Iโ€™ll finally get X, Iโ€™ll be happy.โ€ Because joy and connection are not at the end of the path. Theyโ€™re here. Available. When we stop running. Itโ€™s one of the most open conversations Iโ€™ve ever had on this podcast. Check the full episode HERE: https://lnkd.in/dYejCFSE ENJOY TO THE MAX ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ!!!

#45 MATTHIEU RINVILLE - From Top Exec to Entrepreneur, Success With a Meaning
What do Luxury, Leadership & Stroke Recovery have in common? A ex-high-level executive at LVMH and Moncler. An entrepreneur helping stroke survivors regain speech. A master of craftsmanship and human connection. ๐Ÿคฉ Meet Matthieu Rinville. From leading 800 employees in a Romanian factoryโ€”saying good morning to every single one of themโ€”to launching Aphasix, his company dedicated to helping stroke survivors suffering from aphasia, his journey is as unexpected as it is inspiring. Thatโ€™s not all. Matthieu also took over a luxury craftsmanship company in Italy, specializing in the creation of high-end display trunks and bespoke cases for the worldโ€™s most prestigious brands. ๐Ÿ’ก A few things we talked about: โžก๏ธ 150,000 ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ค๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐œ๐œ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ฒ ๐ฒ๐ž๐š๐ซ ๐ข๐ง ๐…๐ซ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ž ๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ž. 40,000 people are left with aphasia, the loss of speech. Matthieu and his co-founder Pierre de Linage are working to give them their voice back. โžก๏ธ ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฅ ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐›๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ข๐ฌ๐งโ€™๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ โ€”itโ€™s hiring & keeping people. Talent retention is everything. Itโ€™s about the connection you create around it. โžก๏ธ ๐๐ฎ๐ฆ๐›๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ญ๐จ ๐›๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ, but they are a resultโ€”not a goal. โžก๏ธ ๐˜๐จ๐ฎ ๐œ๐š๐ง ๐๐ž๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž๐ฑ๐œ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐žโ€”if you give people the tools to achieve it. This episode is packed with insights on leadership, resilience, and the hidden truths behind luxury & impact-driven business.
