Erik Gingles created an adventure story for his girls when they were little, one filled with dramatic escapes, curious creatures, and reality bending worlds that reflected what was happening around them at the time. Now his girls are grown up and their bedtime tale is turned into a book for others to enjoy. The Nomies and the Surface Protocol was released in Summer 2025 and is a fantastic story for early chapter book and middle grade readers. Erik joins Jenna & Tosh to talk about the messages he hopes resonate from the book, as well as his journey turning a family story into a published novel.
