Welcome to the fifteenth episode of Pints, Camera… Action! This week season 1 comes to an explosive end with Mark’s final movie pick… “Days of Thunder.” An adrenaline fuelled action/drama outing from Director Tony Scott that Stars Tom Cruise, Nicole Kidman & Robert Duvall. Set in the high-octane world of NASCAR the movie tells the tale of up-and-coming whizz-kid racing driver Cole Trickle (Cruise). With the help of veteran coach Harry Hogge (Duvall) Cole propels himself to the top rankings of American motorsport as he strives to realise his dreams and become the new champ. Along the way Cole must deal with an intense rivalry with the current top driver Rowdy Burns (Michael Rooker) and overcome his own fears and self-doubt in order to win the championship and the heart of the alluring Dr. Claire Lewicki (Kidman). The usual digressions abound as the boys discuss the relation between creepiness & attractiveness, short man syndrome and bizarre methods of explaining drifting to your girlfriend. Somehow, they also find the time to pitch a Days of Thunder reboot entitled, “Nights of Lightning!” (Never coming to a Cinema near you!) Get to the starting line it's time for Pints, Camera... Action!
