Things became increasingly deranged as our conversation went on—we got into the sentience of mosquitoes, directed energy weapons, the global consciousness project, and Super Mario 64 speedruns.

EPISODE SEVEN: SYNECDOCHES FOR AUTONOMY WITH RACHEL ROSSIN, PT. 1
In this episode Nate interviews the artist Rachel Rossin, while Derek is away on a vision quest in the American West.
Rachel Rossin is an artist based in New York who works in the media of painting, sculpture, and virtual reality, among others. Her work traces a phenomenology of digital experience, in which the user feels themselves paradoxically to be two places at once.
We spoke about some of the the thinking and thematic content that goes into her practice, as well as her upbringing in an evangelical christian environment and the potential impact it has had on her work to date.
