Episode 6- Mobility between Mexico & the United States

In today’s conversation we are going to dive into MOBILITY. What does movement represent to a community that has historically been in exile. Leni and I both migrated undocumented to the US, therefore we had little to NO connection to Mexico because we were living in what some called a “golden cage”, after we were forced to return to México, ones again we had to let go of our communities and towns, not knowing if we would ever be able to go back.

For Maggie it took 8 years to return to the United States, and for me (Leni) 9 years. From this date forward we both had a piece of plastic that overnight meant that we were granted “authorization” to “return” to our families, loved ones and communities. Join us as we both share more about our process and what it means for us to have mobility between the US and Mexico.
