On this episode of Politicomms, we're joined by Christine Jardine of the Liberal Democrats. Christine was first elected as the Member of Parliament for Edinburgh West in 2017 and is the Liberal Democrat Spokesperson for Scotland, Women and Equalities and the Cabinet Office. Before entering politics, Christine was an Edinburgh based journalist and broadcaster. She has written for the Scotsman, worked for the BBC and was editor of the Press Association in Scotland. She is standing as a candidate for Edinburgh West.
We chat to Christine about her thoughts on the role of the media in elections - from earned media to social and TV debates, as well as the rise of mis-and-dis-information. And, of course, we touch on those famous Lib Dem stunts.
