Before Melanie can set off on her great odyssey, she's going to need a few things. At this point, did anyone really expect Mr. Wilford to happily hand over his supplies without making a production out of it? Anyone that brings a throne to a negotiation is going to be trouble. You can stick that piece of advice in your pocket to use forever.
Something you can't hold on to forever is the fleeting time spent with loved ones. Even loved ones you kind of hate, like Alexandra does with Melanie.
