Max Scantlebury on being an allies and BAME inclusion in LGBT+ communities

This is the PrideON Podcast from the Civil Service LGBT+ Network.

Pride events in towns and cities across the UK have been put on hold this year due to the coronavirus pandemic, but just because those events can’t take place, that doesn’t mean we can’t take pride in who we are.

On this podcast, you’ll hear from inspiring LGBT+ civil servants and allies talking about their identities, experiences and work, and what pride means to them.

In this episode, Jordan Ledger speaks to Max Scantlebury from the Home Office. Max talks to Jordan about being an ally and what Black Lives Matter means for inclusion of LGBT+ people from black and minority ethnic backgrounds .
