Established in 2001, Purple Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer organization whose mission is to raise funds to improve the lives of people in the Dallas area who are living with or are affected by HIV/AIDS. Purple Foundation produces several dance fundraisers and social events throughout the year. Purple Foundation’s premier dance fundraiser, Purple Party Weekend, is a sensational weekend of dance events featuring electrifying visual performances and music by some of the world’s most popular DJs.

DJ Benson WilderDJ Benson Wilder is no stranger to the dance floor or the DJ booth. Currently Resident DJ at the Dallas Eagle, Benson Wilder was recently named “Best Club DJ In Dallas” by the Dallas Voice readership. Benson is also half of the DJ duo Wilpower, a project he shares with DJ Philip Webb. His DJ career began in 2000 when he started distributing "podcasts" through online DJ communities. Later he became resident at Rain on 4th in Austin, TX. In his career, Benson Wilder has played events for Purple Foundation’s Pride and Purple Party Weekends, Splash Days, Furball, Honeypot, Bear Dance and others. His eclectic, energetic sound blends the worlds of tribal, circuit and house music, delivering pulsating rhythms, soaring melodic vocals, and a special sound designed to inspire and electrify his audience.
