dil ko ḳhayāl-e-yār ne maḳhmūr kar diyā
sāġhar ko rañg-e-bāda ne pur-nūr kar diyā
mānūs ho chalā thā tasallī se hāl-e-dil
phir tū ne yaad aa ke ba-dastūr kar diyā
gustāḳh-dastiyoñ kā na thā mujh meñ hausla
lekin hujūm-e-shauq ne majbūr kar diyā
kuchh aisī ho ga.ī hai tere ġham meñ mubtilā
goyā kisī ne jaan ko mas.hūr kar diyā
betābiyoñ se chhup na sakā mājrā-e-dil
āḳhir huzūr-e-yār bhī mazkūr kar diyā
ahl-e-nazar ko bhī nazar aayā na rū-e-yār
yaañ tak hijāb-e-nūr ne mastūr kar diyā
