Tolkien from Greek ευ- "good" and καταστροφή "sudden turn". It refers to the change from a hopeless situation to an unforeseen victory stemming from grace. Typology-Professor Scott Hahn calls typology the “rhyme scheme of history.” The study of persons, places or events in the Bible that foreshadow greater realities, especially concerning Christ, His Church and the Sacraments.
