Mary at the Tomb
Reading the Gospel

Mary at the Tomb
In this episode, we explore the story of Mary Magdalene at the empty tomb, focusing on her encounter with the risen Jesus. We see how Mary’s initial confusion and grief were transformed into hope and recognition when she heard Jesus call her by name, a reminder that sometimes we must turn our attention and hearts more than once to experience God’s presence in our lives. We also discuss the importance of expectations and faith: just as Mary mistook Jesus for the gardener until she recognized his voice, we too may overlook moments of divine encounter if we are not open and attentive. This story encourages us to remain persistent in our pursuit of spiritual truth, to be open to unexpected blessings, and to cultivate a mindset that seeks God’s work in our everyday experiences. By doing so, we can experience deeper faith and hope, especially in times of uncertainty or loss.
